
The player navigates Ratchet and Rivet through diverse environments across a multitude of levels, defeating enemies with an array of varied weapons and gadgets, and traversing obstacles to complete key mission objectives. Additionally, the game has a playable female Lombax named Rivet, as well as a robot similar to Clank, Kit. He is accompanied by his robotic friend and sidekick Clank, who is hung on his back. It retains elements of previous Ratchet & Clank games, such as strafing, gunplay, collection of bolts, automatic weapon and health upgrades, manual Raritanium weapon upgrading and gadgets. The game shares many gameplay similarities with Ratchet & Clank (2016) and other entries in the series.

The player has to set up defenses around the level to defend against the onslaught, and defenses are brought with bolts obtained from killing enemies before the major assault.Ratchet uses a "Rift Tether" to quickly warp between areas Near the end of the level, the tower defense system was brought in and a “big attack” was opened. In each level, the player must destroy enemies while having to pass the levels to find weapons. Weapons are scattered around the level and are hidden in pods, with stronger weapons being harder to find. Players will experience the open world in the game including 5 levels located on 3 different planets. With the familiar 3rd-person shooter in the series, “Full Frontal Assault” also introduces players to a new game mode called Tower Defense, which allows players to build defensive systems to Defend your base and focus on combat. Players will continue to accompany familiar characters such as Ratchet, Clank (in Giant Clank or normal form) or Captain Qwark.

Released in 2012 by game developer Insomniac Games, the game was made to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the “Ratchet & Clank” series. “Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault” is a game so a very attractive platform for those who have known through the game “Ratchet and Clank”.
